Bodega Pop Live returns to WFMU's Give the Drummer Radio tonight from 7-10 PM ET with a special broadcast: LADIES' NIGHT. Half off all double-priced drinks for all XX-chromosomed/identified individuals!
State courts in California, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have ruled that ladies' nights constitute unlawful gender discrimination. But, hey--we're in New York!
GOOD NEWS: My ADrive files are all restored. All is well. Now ... I just have to start posting more frequently.
I don't mean to be alarmist, but I just received the following from Paypal:
We have recently reviewed your PayPal account activity and determined that
you are in violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy by accepting
donations for music downloads.
As a result, your account has been limited temporarily.
To help us resolve this, you will need to:
- Remove PayPal as a payment option, as well as all references to PayPal,
including the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart.
- Submit the online Acceptable Use Policy affidavit.
The irony of this being that PayPal is an acceptable method of payment for hosting files on ADrive.com, which is where I store all of the Bodega's products.
Speaking of which, my ADrive account is currently "in maintenance mode," and if you've tried grabbing anything, your efforts have been thwarted. I can't log in, myself. I don't know for certain just yet, but there's a good chance that account is being revoked--or, perhaps I'm just being paranoid, having had my Divshare account revoked early last year.
I'll let you know, of course, what happens, once I know for sure what *has* happened.
Don't miss the second thrilling Bodega Pop Live show on WFMU's Give the Drummer Radio, tonight at 7 pm EST!
Check out the playlist and listen in here.
Beginning at 7:00 pm Eastern Time I'll be spinnin' beeyootiful music what has been magically burned into discs of polycarbonate plastic and found by yours trooly in bodegas in Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.
Check out the playlist and grab the sound via pop-up or MP3.
For the next three hours, WFMU's Doug Schulkind will be paying tribute to the late, great Yusef Lateef, playing selections spanning his career.
